Is There a Deeper Stage of Joy Within the Samati State?
i was thinking how in buddhists description of samati state, they describe a ind of the factors of mind that are present within the different states. Initially there might be a real sense of joy and blissful buzz or excitement,. But then that sort of falls off. It's like a launching rocket that falls off the shuttle. And a, then there are other states that remain, like happiness and and equanimity. Then even, you know, further down the road, happiness falls away. So there's an idea that there's deeper stages of joy that aren't so much about rapturous joy but rather levels of calm which can only be described as 'indescribable'
