The Path to the Mass Market for Game Developers

The path to the mass market lies through the hardcore. And so you can't just jump to a mass market audience. The world does not work that way. You have people who are passionate early adopters of something and they evangelize it outwards. But if you only then cater to the early adopters, you're likely to end up with something niche. What you need for the larger audience is something more elegant because it needs to be approachable. I like to say it grows roko coe and gains filigree that will satisfy that audience.
