Géal Bea's Killing of Rita Gay
The Crown only had to prove that Jayal Bear intentionally murdered his wife, Rita Gay. Traces of a dynamite explosion were found in the wreckage with physical evidence from a smashed dry cell battery and pieces of an alarm clock. The coroner went through her autopsy results, telling the court that practically all of the bones in her body were broken. Her skull shattered, her lungs had burst open, and there was an itemised list of damage to each of her organs. This part of the trial was long and technical testimony, too much for the once-distraught widower in the prisoner's dock. He fell asleep.
