The Importance of Using REST to Implement a Simple Storage Subsystem

Some of the math here ended up needing to be done in assembly because it had to live in the kernel. Some of the intermediate representations are in 128 bits, which you can do with REST, not the kernel. And so I wrote this simulator first and had all this math written in Rust. But then when it came time to actually write, in assembly code, I was able to just kind of plug it in to this REST program and test that independently before I even tried seeing it in my kernel change.
