When it's low status to be conservative, basically, when progressives are absolutely on the ascendant. So actually it's kind of a field day for trolls, because they enjoy being provocative and upsetting people. Like that there is, there is a role for that. But it does kind of course in the discourse when you don't have much more moderate agreeable voices willing to pipe up.
