The Scarecrow Man

A few christmases ago I was driving my kids back from visiting their grandparents out in the countryside they moved out to this big old house once my dad sold his business one of those offers he couldn't refuse type of things that meant he could retire like 10 years earlier than expected. My daughter had only just turned nine so they're starting to cotton on that something isn't quite right about the whole thing but they still sort of want to believe. So when they see a hand painted christmas light dripping sign that says something like santa's grotto nine miles they start going ballistic in the backseat demanding I take them to see santa at first I straight up refuse it was a long
