In the mid eighties, country women and music had no place for roots artists like myself. Lost weight, got sober, and i've been sober 35 years. When you were working with steve jon, he would eand ike I didn't like playing that much. He was a monster when we toured together in 86 in the summer of '86. Wel there was a string of us in our thirties who did not long stay sober.
