How to Stick to a Math Heart Rate Training Protocol

The maximum aerobic function heart rate is the point of maximum fat oxidation per minute. Even at age 58, where my maximum aerobic heart rate would be 122, I typically run five beats faster than that comfortably. The payoff comes down the line as you are training your aerobic system rather than a mix of aerobic and anaerobic. It's much, much better to honor this math heart rate training protocol of 180 minus age.
