Napoleon's Souvenirs

The Vignale collection of Napoleonic relics was brought from St. Helena by Napoleon's chaplain, Abbe Aunhe Paul Vignale. The priest kept the souvenirs for himself until he was murdered in what some refer to as a blood feud or a vendetta. In 1924, Mags of London sold the Vignales' collection to the Rosenbach Company and published a catalog of its acquisition collections.
