Jeremiah has been preaching for 40 plus years that Jerusalem was going to fall. And so what happens is now there's a hundred, hundred blows upon those who would not listen. Here we have Zedekiah who doesn't even take a stand against Nebuchadnezzar. But one of the things it reveals is Nebuchadnazar is a pretty brutal guy.
