The Unseen Water of the Earth

Groundwater is the water beneath our feet everywhere around the world. It's the water stored and that flows through rocks and sand and gravel in what we call aquifers. A new study has tried to catalogue this huge volume of hidden water, which can have a hugely significant effect on us via water tables feeding the ocean and weathering rocks. Hydrologist Tom Gleason gives an idea of what this unseen water actually is.
