The Covenant Meal Is a Reminder of Covenant Union

The covenant meal to me is a reminder of what we have covenantially. Not what we have transactionally. When I take communion, I'm reminding myself that Jesus was of the same substance as the Father. He gave us His cross, His face to face position with His Father in order to become the incarnate Word of God. The new covenant is sealed in the blood.
