The Origin of the Donar
The inventor of the donair was a greek emigrant named peter gamelacus. A wanted to bring the greek eros to nova scotia and introduce us to his favorite street food from back home. When locals didn't care for the taste of yogr and lamb, he adjusted the recipe to appeal more to local tastes using beef instead of lamb. Eventually it became what we know love as the donair, and it really took off.
