Esther: John started to air some of his theories about espionage. There was a local news station that ran some of them. And then there was a kind of middleman who's job it was is to find interesting local stories and sell them to the national media. He quickly wrote up a press release based on this impartial information. Three days later, it was running nationally. So the story just kind of got a bit ahead of itself.
