Theatre Isn't All About the Plays
Most of the plays that we do in the theatre, i would say, by and large, in the english speaking world, are revivals. Theyre plays that have stuck around over a period of time or they've been adapted from the pieces of material that were worked on and vetted an thoroughly explored in front of audiences. So to that end, none of it should be adapted, because it's meant to be experienced in front of people. You're never going to capture the spirit of what it's like to be a part of something vital.
