High frequency trading (HFT) exists in the US stock market more than anywhere else. The laws of physics and distances between exchanges are to blame for HFT, says John Defterios. He argues that by giving these guys faster data feeds, they can race ahead of executing orders at other exchanges - destroying liquidity concentration.
