I think I would choose the latter option in terms of going to a financial advisor together. It comes across lesses from your child. Like, this is an advisor, they've paid to be very factual and take emotions out of it. Even though you're not nearly at retirement age, I think it's really helpful for you and your brother. And it also helps like when your parents pass and how to navigate that.
