The Ku Klux Klan's Unite the Right Rally in Charlottesville

On August 11th, 2017, scores of white men led by Richard Spencer marched into the park near the University of Virginia Campus. The scene quickly exploded into violence, with white supremacists battling anti-fascist at the foot of the statue. 35 people were injured and a 32-year-old counter protester named Heather Heyer was killed. Instead of condemning far-right groups and actual white supremacists, President Obama seemed to take this stance that their desire to protect that statue was in the right.
