About half of all children experience a dramatic event in their lifetime, abuse, violence, terrorism, disaster or what we call dramatic loss. Most kids experience acute distress after exposure to a dramatic event. And reactions differ according to age, of course, maturity, what the history chronic drama might be, and athnicity.
