Are You Saying That Dark Matter Is Giving Off Gravitational Waves?
Any body in the universe that has mass and accelerates gives off gravitational waves. But as you say, because gravity is so weak, that's undetectable. You have to be an incredible mass undergoing incredible acceleration to feel those gravitational waves. And this also gets into quanta mechanics, right? Or something called the ultra violet catastrophe. This was one of the first clues that told us about quanta mechanics. It wasn't until a young physicist named max plunk realized that if you made this weird assumption that photons couldn't have just any arbitrary energy, but that they were like quantized units of energy, then that killed the problem.
