Motley Was a Great Friend and Mentor to So Many Women
She said that she was not a feminist, don't call her a feminist. She believed like polly murray or shirley chisholm, in a quality for women. In particular, when she was on the bench, she ruled in a number of cases that implemented the anti discrimination title of the sive rights act and issued rulings that opened the workplace to women lawyers and journalists. And she was a mentor and friend, even to judges, woman judges, who were appointed after her. Think it a profound part of her legacy that she was the first in so many respects, but she made sure that she wasn't the only one.
