When he first moved to LA, Golden Apple didn't hire like nerds. They hired just whoever. The people when I first started coming here or going to that shop in the early 90s were like punk people and like pierced. And there was a super hot girl with tattoos and piercings. Didn't know any comics. Like a suncoast video at the mall. That's what it felt like you'd talk to them and they'd go, yeah, I have no clue.
