The History of the Chinese Exclusion Act

There are violent attacks on Chinese Americans throughout the 1870s and 1880s. Whole communities burned down. The longings destroyed. By 1882, the US passes the first of the Chinese Exclusion Acts. Those acts wouldn't be repealed until 1943.
