Precision Medicine - What's Happening Within Precision Medicine?
The world that we've all grown up in has largely been fueled by tablets or whatever it is and treatments which are described as one size fits all. What's happening within precision medicine is that we're able to test patients at a much more molecular level. And therefore then says, okay, this patient is more likely to respond to this particular drug than the rest of them. It's absolutely a byproduct of the human genome project, which of course is nine decades old,. But we're not beginning to see those first medicines come to market where we're really targeting patients at that genetic level.
