The Importance of Connecting Individuals
I don't believe that anything that kind of makes it to us through mass media isn't somehow converted into a delivery device but there are definite areas in our experience or the where we can connect individuals really. The less socialized and the less mediated interfaces with others are the better, says David Shana. There's something about just connecting with with people who are oriented towards away from certain things that seem to be capturing the world's attention that perhaps is more ephemeral than other things.
