Are Psychological Strengths Related to Well-Being?

Psychological strengths is really those personality traits that tend to lead more reliably to adaptive or healthy outcomes. Underlying conscientiousness and being goal-oriented is a psychological strength, under the umbrella of agreeableness it's called "the big five" The energy part is an important element in defining what's a psychological strength to a person versus what's a learned behavior to a person. We would say you don't really have a strength if your skill when used is desirable but not part of your identity per se.
