Is the European Union Regulating Tech in the Right Way?
I do think that the european union is going about regulating tech in the right way. They are certainly being more am aggressive than we're seeing in the united states, but that said, they're not being overly aggressive. And so how do you think we're doing here in the us? With our approach to regulating social media? Short answer is, we're doing nothing co there isn't much to speak of. It's just a sort of fundamental cultural difference. The long term reason is that europe in general, in european countries broadly, have always been more willing regulate than we have been in the us. There's no denying that tech regulation is hard.
