The Relationship Between Detective Cecil Cess Johnson and Alan Bassett

There were a cluster of murders, in fact, that authorities believed were in some way connected. Detective Cecil Cess Johnson interviewed and stayed in contact with Alan Bassett for several years after considering him a suspect in the Wanda Beach murders. Their relationship took an interesting turn in 1975 when Bassett gave Johnson a painting that he had done in art therapy.
