There used to be much more wheat growing in the United States. Today it's almost all cotton and there was no cotton in Kansas when I was a kid. Climate has shifted enough where they can actually have enough of a growing season to make certain crops work. And, and you will see that if you go a little further south in Alberta, you're seeing the mix of crops change.
