How to Train Your VO2 Max to Get Better

There is no metric that is more highly associated with longer life than a high VO2 max. To train VO2 max, your cardiorespiratory fitness is kind of represented by the area of a triangle. And as a general rule, what we want people doing is spending 80% of their total cardio training time at low intensity and then 20% of that time at higher intensity towards that VO2max. The easiest way to do it is doing four minute intervals with one to one rest in recovery.
