Is There a Silence Within Our Culture?

I think one of the first things that became really apparent, even just within family, but within our culture, is how silence can be so dangerous. And in asian culture, i remember knowing families where their child would either have a disability or mental health struggle, and they would send the child back to tiwan. That was a terrifying idea to me. But at the same time, i don't necessarily blame those families, because there were no resources avail to parents of asian cultures, or other cultures,. who were trying to understand how best to support write their children.
