The National Flood Insurance Program Is a Broken System

There's this thing called the National Flood Insurance Program. It subsidizes, sorry, go on. Yes, it's subsidized because like Congress mandated that it be quote, unquote affordable. But for people at the upper end of the income scale, like people who have beachfront mansions in Florida, it's really cheaper than it should be. And so basically, what's happening is that the taxpayers are subsidizing the cost of rebuilding homes on the waterfront of Florida over and over and over again.
