Breast Cancer Screening for Asian American Women

There are several solutions and things that have shown to work in reducing health disparities, particularly in this demographic. Education and outreach in the patient's native language and care provided by physicians who are of the same cultural background have shown to improve and reduce health disparities. Community based programs such as mobile, mammography units and free transportation can help overcome the challenges related to family and work obligations. It is important for radiologists to remember that an interstitial lung abnormality is purely a CT finding, and it does not imply the presence or absence of a patient's symptoms.
