The series stars Zoe Kravitz who is the real life daughter of Lisa Bonet. She actually after she was involved then got Hornby back involved in the process of making the TV show so there are a lot of updated lines in the show that feel like they could have come from the book and Hornby wrote a lot of them. Catherine: I think in the same way that Margaret and I really loved the original text is this proof of like oh what if women also really identified with this extremely male character and you tried to figure out what this text could could speak how it could speak to you.
