Franklin's Contribution to the Revolution

Franklin was the elder statesman and he had been born quite a bit earlier than the other founding fathers. He worked very diligently in the 1760s on developing a series of printers all over the colonies up and down the coast. Franklin's role in developing an independent printing presses were crucial to being able to print the Declaration of Independence.
