The Importance of Not Presuming Users Understand What You're Talking About

I think it's really interesting when you're talking to an information architect and you're discussing the terminology we're all using in this industry. We don't need to talk about that with clients. It's for us to talk amongst ourselves. But that level of detail is just not of interest to them. That's why we're professionals within that industry and they're professionals in another industry. They don't know what UX is or care what UX is. If they want to call it a information architecture, a web design or whatever. Fine.
