The Importance of Group Development

The first group, you should always expect that people aren't going to be engaging that much. People tend to sit quite quietly and expect sort of teacher-led activities for them to sit whilst you talk. But then also, we should expect as educators, when the patients come back for the second time, they've stormed a little bit. You know, there should be some debate. And there will be a little bit of heat normally we find in the second session where they've gone away. They've had time to reflect and consider... Are you saying the pain is in my head? That's important. I think that's the only way to try and move forwards is to open that forum
