Context Is Key to Memorability

Trahan: The way we say things and the way we phrase things can have quite a big impact. There's a study back from 1972 by a Canadian psychological bag. He found that on average, people remembered 9% of abstract words, 36% of concrete words. With a concrete phrase, if I say square door to you, almost unbidden in your mind pops up an image of a square door. That makes it sticky.
