The Hiddenness of God in This Generation

The miracles of Jesus in the gospel of John are called signs. What are they a sign of? They are testing that Jesus is who he said he was. So that's where they're really used. But I still think there's a hiddenness of God in this generation That most atheists would say is one of the reasons that and the problem of evil are one of the reason why they don't believe God exists.
