The Importance of Investing in Renewable Energy
There is an argument for hydrogen with planes, because you can generate hydrogen fuels off renewables. You can turn the electricity into hydrogen fuel. Isn't that good? Yeah, I always find this argument bizarre though, because if you need to get hydrogen up and running, you need for renewables. If we know that wind energy and solar energy can power the UK with batteries, why have we not put massive investment in that? That's exactly why the Green Party's policy is 100 billion pounds a year for 10 years - essentially a trillion pounds to invest in making sure we're insulating homes.
