"I have apologized to my kids on many occasions or shown up in their room a while later and said, Hey, I'm sorry, I lost my temper," he says. "You're just trying to model the kind of person you want to be in the world which is like reflective and self critical." He adds that it's not going to help his children grow into the kind of adults you want them to be.
