GCSEs Are Not Fit for Purpose

We think the way children are assessed is grossly unfair. It's not fair to them because they're told if they work hard and can do things, they will pass it to certain grade. We don't know what the grades will be until after the market has taken place. So that's an unfair thing to say to children. And it just it's a system that can't keep going. The current ministerial position is that getting back to proper exams is the fairest way to assess children.
