Detention and Devotion

detention and devotion are the first two games from a studio called Red Candle Games. They're both horror games, but they're different flavors of horror. Detention is more of a survival horror, whereas devotion is more of an walking sim with horror elements. The interesting thing for me about these games is they draw so heavily from a culture and a place in the world that I'm so unfamiliar with, that it's utterly alien to me. In detention, you play as a young student and essentially you're in class and there's a typhoon warning, so everyone has to evacuate. And when you go to evacuate, you're the only person in the whole school which is obviously horrifying.
