The Far Right in Ukrainian Politics?
The far right played an outside role in the coup that overthrew Yanukovych in 2014, which set off the Donbass War. The far right received a major share of the new cabinet positions inside that government. Some argue Zelensky is more of a figurehead, a popular voice that can appeal to Western audiences. He plays no doubt a very important role, but he has a large staff and administration under him who embrace the harsh rhetoric of the far rightVery openly and unabashedly.
