There's something about knowing the end of the story that gives us comfort, maybe I could say. And for him to say, it is finished, thy will is done, shows that even in that kind of intense suffering, he was focusing on doing the Father's will. He gave up the ghost and once again we see they didn't really kill him. He gave his life. Even at this point, he chose the time of his death. It blesses me to know he was a willing sacrifice and he gave up theghost in that moment.
