What's Your Interest in Source Texts as a Constraint?
Ales. Dfin no: I wanted to talk a little bit about process with you. Ah, in past interviews, you've talked about how sometimes when you were stuck, you'd use techniques from the dadaists to break loose again. Sometimes you'd also use grammatic structures of another text as a constraint. And you have quite a few books where somebody else's book is a generative source and a constraint. So i was hoping maybe you could talk about this interest in source texts as a way to your own text through theirs, in a general sense. Then maybe you could dial it in and talk to us about the source text that you used in the nick of time.
