The Inefficient Way to Think of the World

There's a prevailing view among computer scientists about the universality of computation that everything can ultimately be modeled as a computation. I have argued that that is actually not possible. And so when you have a hypothesis like that that is untestable, ultimately it becomes a question of faith rather than question about whether it's a reality. As models go, I don't find it particularly effective.
