The only person that we could relate to in history because we had the same surname was this fascist collaborator and so this was a huge source of disappointment for me. My family always said to me we're not related he just happens to have the same surname he also happened to have thesame name as my father so it was name and surname was the same thing. That was one of the mysteries of childhood eventually revealed in 1990 which was really again a big surprise and blow in a way I mean you you write wonderfully about your childhood but also your book is a is a complex and and delightful portrait of a marriage and and your grandmother as well who's this sort of luminous presence throughout the book and
