Part D Coverage Gaps - What Are They?
Medicare part is the prescription drug programm for the us. It's basadly the pharmacy benefit programm. That covers all patient medications that are dispensedlikea typical all patient pharmacy setting. Patients pay essentially either co pays or co insurance based on the types of drugs they are receiving. After a certain amount of money spent, patients then fall into what's called the coverage gap. And i guess the takehome is that as drug prices have increased and more exe of drugs have entered the market, more and more people have found themselves either falling into the coverage gap nor getting pushed through to the catastrophic phase.
