The Parabellum of Peace
In the last week we started this little summer series called Parabellum. It comes from this Latin phrase, Cívos pachum parabellum: If you want peace prepare for war. Jesus talks about this in the Gospel Parable where you have the landowner and he plants good seed. He plants wheat in his field and then an enemy comes along and plants weeds. In fact, it s really fascinating because back in the day there were laws on the books that prohibited this exact thing.
